Churchgoers at Fua’amotu watched a house fire and a car crash occurred shortly in a road near the blaze on Sunday.

No injuries reported after the fire.

An eyewitness told Kanva News the firefighters put off the blaze shortly before the car crashed into a power pole near the fire scene at Taliai Military camp.

A video was taken at the scene of the crash and was posted to Facebook by Senolita Grace Tu’ivai.

A power pole could be seen falling over the car.

A white blanket was used by some people to cover what appeared to be a person lying near the car.

The eyewitness claimed she was a woman who suffered injuries during the crash. She was lying on the ground.

It has been alleged the driver of the vehicle was injured and he was rushed to hospital.

It was believed alcohol and speed had been factors in the car accident.
