TCC resolves “radio interference” in mobile networks

Tonga Telecommunication Corporation has resolved an interference to its system caused by other network operators.

Tonga Broadcasting Commission report said “a local operator was listening to conversations of others while using TCC mobile phones”.

It said “such interferences are not legal according to Communication Act as hacking is part of cyber-crime”.

A spokesperson for TCC said it “is about ‘interference’ – more specifically ‘radio interference’ in the mobile networks”.

The Ministry is resolving this issue with the network operators, the spokesperson said.
