The name of Blues winger George Moala, 22, was made known publicly this morning after almost five months of name suppression.
It was suppressed by court following an incident on 30 December 2012.
George along with his brother Siua Moala were arrested last December for an assault that left two people, Damian Matokea and Daniel Leota, hospitalised.
The incident happened outside a bar on Karangahape Road in Auckland.
The rugby player and his brother were granted name suppression at the initial court hearing.
The Moalas went back to court on April 23 and were released on bail with interim name suppression.
This morning they were again both remanded on bail without plea to a Mt Wellington address, but the name suppression was lifted.
According to the Blues website Moala joint the team in 2013 for his second Super Rugby campaign after an injury he encountered during his 2012 season.
In 2010, George Moala represented Tonga in the IRB Junior World Championship.
