AIS St Helens is pleased to announce that it will be offering a 14 week National Certificate in Hospitality (Cafes) (Level 3) with a 100% reduction in Tuition Fees.
This a practical one semester course of 46 NZQA unit standards credits which prepares students for a range of positions in the hospitality industry. The focus of the course is upon food preparation and customer service in a café setting, and it also gives students an opportunity to become a barista. Students graduate with a Hospitality Standards Institute Barista Certificate of Achievement, a recipe book and also a set of knives.
Students train and run the AIS Asquith Campus training café and are given opportunities to undertake optional work experience in a restaurant or café outside the campus. This course is ideal for persons wishing to gain experience in the dynamic and vibrant hospitality industry.
Domestic students do not have to pay tuition fees, only paying a resource and student services fees of $782. Standard Loans and Allowances apply. The course begins on 20 May 2013.
