XFactor Ashley Tonga – “the biggest personality we have ever seen”

For the 18 years old Ashley Tonga with her comedy style performance now proved to hugely draw in the fame and popularity XFactor New Zealand 2013 has been hungered for –  is a chance in a lifetime.

A hit on the social media networks and the only successful Tongan, Ashley attracted about 200,000 viewers on Youtube over two days, with her dramatic performance of Proud Mary in the boot camp episode of XFactor.

Ashley’s response to Judge Daniel Bedingfield in a surprisingly deep tone of voice after Daniel says she is “awesome” led to a spontaneous laughter from the audience.  This exchange stirred up the camp as well as the social networking sites who greatly admired the ‘Mang-rey’ (Mangere)  resident.

The teen XFactor contestant has a big personality and a strong voice that matches her confidence that registered approval and excitement from her fans’ applauses.

Ashley is hilarious and she makes every single movement on the stage count through her singing, performance and slapstick routine.

Judges say it all with a three ‘yes’ from Stan Walker, Daniel and Ruby Frost and ‘such a big massive yes’ from Judge Melanie Blatt allowing the solo vocalist star into the next round of the singing contest.

The Performing Arts student at Te Wananga O Aotearoa told NZ Kaniva Pacific news that, “I have a special performance this Friday and Saturday.. with American Singer.. K.nova.. Looking forward to that and boot camp is not long to go”.

Ashley is religious and she says “I just like to state that I do give all the praise and glory back to the father in heaven.”

She comes “from a family of 9 and growing up the life I did was hard.. But it got easier as time came.. to me every night I prayed and ask if this is your will god leave it… If it’s not than change it

“Sure enough I stayed the same.. but it took quite some time for my family to accept it.. beginning of last year I finally felt accepted so I vowed that I will join Xfactor this year.. for my family.. for my youth.. and most of all for my Kind!”

Hundreds of thousands of Facebook fans pay their compliments to the Tongan XFactor queen including Iva Mahina Potauaine saying “You are amazing 🙂 You’ve certainly won the hearts of the people & I hope you win X-factor.
