A heavy rain advisory remains inforce
for tongatapu, 'eua ha'apai and vava'u.

Situation: an active trough of low pressure
lies slow moving over the southern part of the
group. associated clouds and showers affect
Vava'u, Ha'apai, Tongatapu and 'Eua.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for Tonga:
For Tongatapu, 'Eua, Vava'u and Ha'apai.
Moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times,
winds tending fresh to strong north to northwest.
Overcast with occasional rain heavy at
times with isolated thunderstorms.
Elsewhere: moderate northeast to northwest winds.
Cloudy periods with occasional showers.
Outlook for Thursday:
For Tongatapu, 'Eua, Ha'apai and Vava'u.
Moderate west to southwest winds, fresh at times.
Cloudy periods with brief showers.
For the Niuas:  light to moderate west to northwest winds.
Mainly fine apart from brief showers.

West to southwest winds 10-20 knots gusting to 25 knots.
Moderate to rough seas. a southeasterly heavy swells.
Elsewhere:
North to northwest winds 15-20 knots. moderate seas.
